A sliding fifth wheel connects a tractor and trailer and can slide back and forth on frame rails. By sliding the trailer, the operator can adjust the weight distribution over the axles as well as the distance between truck and trailer bulkhead, allowing the truck to haul a wider variety of freight. G1213 Fifth Wheel Slider assemblies conform to DOT FMVSS 106 requirements as well as SAE J844 specifications. The heavy-duty plated spring guards are corrosion resistant for added protection while the excellent recoil memory ensures coils will retract without sagging, eliminating abrasion and wear, even after prolonged use. Assemblies come complete with push-to-connect ends with pre-applied thread sealant for easy connection.
