The Leviton DZ16HD-1BZ is a Zwave enabled in-wall universal dimmer providing local on/off and dimming control as well as Zwave automation and scene lighting. Intuitive design uses the top and bottom rocker for on/off control with the dimmer bar on the side used to adjust brightness.
This new generation dimmer is specifically designed to work with dimmable LED, CFL, halogen and incandescent lighting.
The DZ6HD-1BZ supports status feedback so that when it's operated locally it will send it's new status to the automation controller automatically. This way the controller knows about it right away rather than having to wait until the next time it polls the device. This allows apps to show the correct status all the time, and allows event triggers based on status, to trigger quickly.
Using the newest Zwave Plus certified technology, this dimmer is compatible with Zwave and Zwave plus systems including but not limited to Vera, Wink, SmartThings, HomeSeer, Zipato/Zipatiile and Fibaro Homecenter as well as Zwave enabled security systems.
The DZ6HD-1BZ doubles as a Zwave repeater and range extender for lighting, Zwave door locks and thermostats.
Two-way status allows the dimmer to report back to the controller when it is adjusted locally, so the automation controller knows the current status as soon as it changes.
A white face is pre-installed, with light almond face included in the package. For 3 way or multi-way use, add a DD00R-DLZ remote switch(es).
